A deadly shooting Wednesday night in a busy Ashland shopping area has left one person dead and several others injured, prompting an active investigation and shaking the local community.
The incident occurred in the parking lot near the Walmart and Dollar Tree along South Hill Carter Parkway. Authorities say emergency crews from the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office, Ashland Police, and local fire units responded swiftly after receiving reports of gunfire.
