It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Thomas Eurof Davies, a beloved father, grandfather, and cherished member of the community. Eurof passed away on Sunday 12th April at Awel y Mor Care Home after a courageous battle with Motor Neurone Disease. He is now reunited with his dearly loved wife, and will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Eurof, formerly of Gorwydd Road, will be remembered with great affection as a proud Gowertonian who dedicated much of his life to his family, faith, and community. His strength, dignity, and quiet determination throughout his illness were an inspiration to all who surrounded him.
A loyal supporter of Gowerton Athletic Club, Eurof’s passion for local sport reflected his enduring commitment to community spirit and togetherness. He was also a faithful servant of St John’s Church, where his presence and support were greatly valued over the years. In addition, he was a founding member of the Gowerton Allotment Society, contributing to a legacy that continues to bring people together in shared purpose and friendship.
Eurof’s life was marked by kindness, humility, and dedication to others. He leaves behind a legacy of service, love, and community involvement that will not be forgotten. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him and in the many lives he touched throughout his lifetime.
Funeral service will be held on Friday 8th May at 11.30am at St John’s Church, Gowerton, followed by a committal at Llanelli Crematorium. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and celebrate Eurof’s life and legacy.
