With profound sadness and heartfelt sympathy, we honor the brief but deeply meaningful life of Hampton Elizabeth Blackburn, who was born on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, and passed away unexpectedly on April 14, 2026. Though her time on earth was short, Hampton was deeply cherished and brought immeasurable love and joy to her family from the very moment of her arrival.
Hampton was a precious gift, long prayed for and dearly awaited. In her days with us, she was surrounded by love, warmth, and devotion. Her presence, though fleeting, left an enduring imprint on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will forever be remembered as a beloved child whose life, however brief, held profound meaning and significance.
She is lovingly survived by her devoted parents, Michael and Ashley Blackburn; paternal grandparents, John and Shannon Blackburn; and maternal grandparents, Mark and Melissa Gibson. She is also survived by her paternal great-grandparents, Michael and Sharon Crump, and Buddy and Donna Blackburn; maternal great-grandparents, Johnny and Elizabeth Gibson; and a loving extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and relatives who will carry her memory forward with love and tenderness.
Hampton’s legacy lives on through the love she inspired and the unity she brought to her family. Though words cannot ease the pain of such a loss, her memory will remain a source of comfort, hope, and enduring love.
A visitation will be held on Monday, April 20, 2026, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Salem Chapel in Winston-Salem, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. A private graveside service will take place at Crestview Memorial.
May Hampton rest peacefully in eternal love and grace, forever held in the hearts of those who love her.
