It is with profound sadness that the passing of Hope Lee Hammond, aged 9 years, is announced. Hope passed away peacefully on Wednesday, 8 April 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was held in the arms of her devoted father, Damien, with her loving mother, Bree, by her side in her final moments.
Hope was the deeply adored and cherished daughter of Damien and Bree, and a much-loved sister to Makayla and Tyson. She was a treasured granddaughter, a beloved niece, and a bright light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Though her time here was far too short, the love she gave and received will remain forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
Hope will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her warmth, and the joy she brought into every room she entered. She touched lives in ways that words cannot fully express, leaving behind precious memories that will be held close always. Her presence was a gift, and her memory will continue to shine brightly through those who loved her most.
Her family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the support, kindness, and compassion shown during this incredibly difficult time.
A celebration of Hope’s life will be held at Fred J. Potter & Son Chapel, Oxide Street, Broken Hill, on Monday, 20 April 2026 at 10:30 a.m., where family and friends are invited to come together to honour and remember her beautiful life.
