Rich Galvin Salem, OR Obituary, Death: Tribute to Rich Galvin: A Musician, Fighter, and True Brother

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we pay tribute to our brother and friend, Rich Galvin. His passing leaves a profound void in our lives and in the music community he loved so dearly.

Rich was more than a bandmate—he was family. A dedicated musician and a true professional, he brought passion, energy, and unwavering commitment to every performance. His presence on stage was powerful, but it was his character off stage that truly defined him. Loyal, resilient, and full of heart, Rich was someone you could always count on.

We remember the challenges he faced, including his battle with severe congestive heart failure when his condition dropped to just 15%. During that difficult time, he stepped away from the band, focusing on his health. In true Rich fashion, he fought back with incredible strength and determination, making a remarkable recovery and returning to do what he loved most—making music with his brothers. His comeback was nothing short of inspiring.

Rich played his final show with us at the Pink Elephant, a performance that now holds even deeper meaning. It stands as a testament to his resilience, talent, and love for the craft. He gave everything he had, right until the end.

As MOONLIT MADNESS prepares for our upcoming show on the 4th of July, we will honor Rich’s memory in the way he would have wanted—through music, unity, and passion. His spirit will be with us on that stage and in every note we play.

Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences go out to Rich’s family, friends, and all who knew and loved him. Though he is gone, he will never be forgotten.

Rest easy, Rich. We love you always.
