Jim Wylie Two-Vehicle Collision Ballymena, NR Death: Victim Identified In Deadly Motorcycle Crash

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) has identified the man who died in a road traffic collision in County Antrim as 60-year-old Jim Wylie, a motorcyclist from Ballymena.

The incident occurred shortly after 10am in the Crankill Road area of Ballymena, at the junction with Tullygrawley Road. The collision involved Mr Wylie’s motorcycle and a car.

Emergency services responded quickly to the scene following reports of the crash. However, despite their efforts, Mr Wylie was sadly pronounced dead at the location.

Detective Inspector Stewart from the PSNI’s Collision Investigation Unit confirmed the details, stating that the motorcyclist had died at the scene. He also confirmed that Mr Wylie was a local resident of Ballymena.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision is ongoing. Authorities have not yet released further details about the driver of the car or the cause of the crash.

Police are continuing to examine the scene and are expected to appeal for witnesses or anyone with relevant information to come forward as they work to establish exactly what happened.
