The 29-year-old mother had been on life support at Cork University Hospital for several weeks following a violent roadside assault.
Scarlett sustained catastrophic head injuries during the attack, which occurred on the R494 near Birdhill on the evening of March 21. The incident, which took place on a busy roadway, shocked the local community and prompted an outpouring of concern and support in the weeks that followed.
