It is with deep sorrow that the passing of Julie L. Yackey, 56, of Dover, is announced. Julie passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026, from a suspected pulmonary embolism. Born on March 27, 1970, in Dover, she was the beloved daughter of Aletha Parsons Jacobs of Arizona and the late Paul Jacobs.
Julie was a proud graduate of Garaway High School, Class of 1988, and went on to earn her Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from Ohio Northern University. She dedicated her professional life to serving others with compassion and care. Julie began her career at Village Drug in Sugarcreek, where she quickly became known for her kindness and commitment to her patients. Over the years, she built lasting relationships within the community, and for the past decade, she continued her service with the same level of dedication that defined her career.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Julie will be remembered for her warm spirit, generous heart, and the genuine connections she made with those around her. She had a remarkable ability to make people feel cared for and valued, leaving a lasting impression on friends, colleagues, and all who knew her.
