East Oak Cliff Dallas Shooting: Dallas Shooting Leaves One Man in Serious Condition After Argument Turns Violent

Dallas police are investigating a shooting in East Oak Cliff that left a man in serious condition after an argument escalated into gunfire outside a convenience store Monday night.

According to authorities, the victim was initially taken to a Dallas Fire-Rescue station by a private vehicle shortly after the incident. Firefighters at the station provided immediate assistance before paramedics transported him to a nearby hospital, where he remains in serious condition.

Investigators determined the shooting occurred in the parking lot of a convenience store located in the 2100 block of East Ledbetter Drive, less than a quarter-mile from the fire station where the victim sought help.

Police say the confrontation began as a verbal argument between two men that escalated into an exchange of gunfire. The suspect fled the scene after the shooting and has not yet been identified or located.

Officers are searching for the suspect and working to gather surveillance footage and witness statements to determine what led to the altercation.

The identity of the victim has not been released, and his medical condition has not been updated beyond serious injuries. It is also not yet known whether the two individuals knew each other prior to the incident.

The investigation remains ongoing.
